CCI Complaint Accuses Flipkart of Running Secret Subsidy Pool to Favour 33 Sellers
mint - companiesยทSunday, 12 July 2026

A new complaint before the Competition Commission of India (CCI) alleges that Flipkart funnels tax and operational gains from group entities into a 'recurring subsidy pool' that benefits just 33 preferred sellers. Those sellers then undercut independent sellers on price, allegedly distorting competition on the platform.
Why It Matters
If the allegation is true, small sellers on Flipkart are competing on an uneven playing field โ and shoppers may be getting artificially low prices that aren't sustainable in the long run.
