India Sends Air Force Planes, Field Hospital to Quake-Hit Venezuela

Two Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft have taken off carrying medical teams, 35 tonnes of emergency supplies, and a military field hospital to Venezuela, where two powerful earthquakes killed at least 589 people and injured nearly 3,000. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar announced the deployment on Friday. Hundreds remain missing or trapped under rubble as international rescue teams race to find survivors.
