Bolivia Declares State of Emergency as Protests Paralyse the Country

Bolivia's president declared a state of emergency and deployed soldiers and bulldozers to clear anti-government roadblocks that have paralysed the country for more than six weeks. Why It Matters

Bolivia's political crisis is an example of how economic discontent and Indigenous rights movements can rapidly escalate into national emergencies โ€” a dynamic relevant to understanding social movements globally.
