Southwest Monsoon Enters Sluggish Phase After Strong Kerala Onset

After a strong onset over Kerala, the southwest monsoon is now expected to enter a sluggish phase. The Meteorological Centre has issued an orange alert for hailstorm, lightning, and gusty winds in parts of Himachal Pradesh on June 11 and 12. Heavy rain has already lashed central Andhra Pradesh, with Vijayawada North recording 102 mm overnight.
