Japan Earthquake Kills Two, Traps Shoppers Inside Collapsed Mall

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Kumamoto prefecture in southern Japan on Tuesday afternoon, killing at least two people and injuring at least 100 more. The quake collapsed a shopping mall, trapping people inside, and knocked out power to thousands of homes. Kumamoto airport shut its runway, and rail services including bullet trains were suspended.
