Sarvesh Kushare Makes History as First Indian to Win CWG Silver in Men's High Jump

Sarvesh Kushare, India's 31-year-old national record holder in the high jump, cleared 2.25m to win silver at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Jamaica's Romaine Beckford took gold, while England's Jack Kimani claimed bronze with a jump of 2.20m. This is the first time an Indian athlete has won a silver medal in the men's high jump at the Commonwealth Games.
