Grok's AI Coding Tool Was Secretly Uploading Your Entire Codebase to the Cloud

SpaceXAI's Grok Build coding tool was caught uploading users' full code repositories to Google Cloud — including files it was told not to access. Researcher group Cereblab published the findings, and SpaceXAI turned the feature off after it was reported. The tool was packaging and sending entire codebases without users clearly knowing.
Why It Matters
Indian developers and startups using Grok Build for coding assistance may have had their proprietary code silently uploaded to external cloud storage. That's a serious data security risk for anyone building products or working with confidential client code.
