A consortium of TPG, Singapore's sovereign fund GIC, and ICICI Bank has acquired Aseem Infrastructure Finance for ₹5,000 crore. Aseem was originally set up in 2020 by India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund and focuses on financing renewable energy and power transmission projects.
Why It Matters
Big private and sovereign money flowing into Indian green infrastructure means more capital is available for the energy transition projects that could reshape power supply and jobs across the country.
