NASA Launches Emergency Mission to Rescue a Space Telescope From Burning Up

NASA's Swift Observatory, launched in 2004, has had its orbit pushed dangerously low by recent solar storms and could burn up in Earth's atmosphere as soon as this year. To prevent this, NASA enlisted Katalyst Space Technologies, whose Link spacecraft launched Friday to intercept and potentially stabilize the observatory. The mission is a race against time.
