Sony Is Ending Physical PlayStation Discs in 2028 — Gaming Will Never Be the Same

Sony has announced that it will stop producing physical discs for PlayStation games starting January 2028. From that point, all new PS5 games will only be available digitally. Sony also announced closures of parts of its digital store, raising concerns about game preservation.
