Kotak Mahindra Bank has agreed to acquire Deutsche Bank's India retail banking and wealth management business for ₹282 crore. The deal adds roughly ₹29,000 crore in loans, ₹16,000 crore in deposits, and ₹10,500 crore in assets under management to Kotak's books. Deutsche Bank is effectively exiting the Indian retail banking space.
