The GuardianยทWednesday, 1 July 2026

Nearly 300 people who tested positive for Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo cannot be located, according to the director general of the Africa Centres for Disease Control. More than one million people are living in camps that health workers cannot access due to ongoing conflict. Modelling predicts thousands of deaths in the DRC by September.
