Iran Flatly Denies Trump's Claim of Upcoming Nuclear Talks in Doha
NDTVยทTuesday, 30 June 2026

Iran has denied that any negotiations with the United States are planned, directly contradicting a claim made by President Trump. Tehran said an expert delegation will travel to Doha only to discuss implementation of a memorandum of understanding on frozen assets and oil exports. Iran stated there is 'no negotiation at any level' with the US in the coming days.
Why It Matters
Tensions between the US and Iran affect global oil prices, which in turn affect fuel costs and inflation in India, one of the world's largest oil importers.
