Iran Says It Will Control the Strait of Hormuz — And Won't Go Back to Pre-War Terms

Iran's chief negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf declared that Tehran will administer the Strait of Hormuz and will not return to pre-war conditions. Talks in Switzerland led to the release of $12 billion in frozen Iranian assets. Iran also agreed to set up a communication system to monitor maritime activity in the strait and reduce the risk of clashes.
