mint - companies·Friday, 19 June 2026
The World Bank's private lending arm, IFC, has committed $371 million (₹3,500 crore) into Sify Infinit Spaces to build two data centres in India. Sify Infinit Spaces had earlier received regulatory approval for an IPO worth about ₹3,700 crore, but that listing has been delayed due to market volatility.
Why It Matters
Data centres are the backbone of India's digital economy — from apps to cloud storage to AI services. Big foreign investment here means faster digital infrastructure for everyone.
