Google Chrome Is About to Kill the Last Working Ad Blockers — Including uBlock Origin

Google Chrome versions 150 and 151, expected in late June and July, will remove the last remaining workarounds that allowed older ad blockers like uBlock Origin to keep functioning. Google phased out support for Manifest V2 extensions in 2024, and these upcoming versions close the final loopholes. Most Chrome users either switched to newer ad blockers or moved to browsers like Firefox.
