A powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the southern Philippines early Monday, collapsing buildings and triggering tsunami waves of up to one metre. At least three people have been killed, and rescues are still underway. Tsunami warnings were issued for parts of Indonesia and Malaysia as well.
